removing spoiler glue (quick help)

i'm in the process of taking my spoiler off. its got this black sticky adhesive that i just cant budge.

i've tried sending fishing line through and the sticky stuff grips it and forces me to snap the line. i have the hair dryer on it trying to heat it up and i still cant get it.

one side is 75% off, but the rest is on there tight !

any ideas?

do you have anything stronger than a hair dryer, like a heat gun? What would that do to paint though i wonder?

Are you trying to get the spoiler off the car? Or the adhesive off the spoiler?

Spoilers aren't glued on from the factory, but they do have some black foam on them to prevent dirt and grit from rubbing into the paint.

If the spoiler isn't off the car, remove inside trunk trim, there are 6 screws total holding it on, remove those. Sometimes the inner two screws will actually turn in the spoiler. I've found heating the screw will melt the spoiler just enough so that you can pull it off without ruining the outer part of the spoiler. Heat while pulling the spoiler.

Use something like 3Ms Adhesive Remover to get the adhesive off.
