I am minly interested in the fit and the finish of the original RE Amemiya hood.

Oh, if there is data on underhood temp reduction with this hood, I would be interested in that too

I know he can get them but would he know about the quality of the hood? Maybe.

BTW, the front end of that blue FD is hideous but at the same time somewhat appealing to me

I think it must be the puckered up look of the "mouth".

You're right. I don't know if he knows about the construction or even if Jason at JT would know. I thought there was a looooong thread about this hood but I can't seem to find it.

BTW, here's another pic of the hood. Looks quality to me.

The pic does not show the edges of the hood so I can't really tell how well it is made.

picture of the fitment

The fitment is the same as the original Scoot hood. The gaps on the sides are larger than normal but I guess it's the style. Scoot Sports is good friend with RE Amemiya so maybe they are made by the same contractor, hence the same gap around the hood.

Mine is coming in a month or so.

Hmmm... i must have missed that thread.

I guess the other question i have about this hood is whether it would interfere with front strut bar.
Anybody know? Chuck?

BTW, Chuck, are you going to make replicas of these also? Say, YES.

The pic I posted has a strut bar there. Didn't you see that?

Probably no replica for this one unless there are 20 prepaid buyers. I don't think so with the current economy though.

That sounds good if it is for a carbon-fiber one.

I do have some other things that I want to buy from Japan at the same time, though.
