RE 99 spec oil cooler ducts
I don't know if the search feature is acting up or if I'm just a moron, but I can't find anything on the Rotary Extreme oil cooler ducts for the 99 front end. Does anyone have them installed?
I was test fitting the driver's side duct and noticed that it doesn't seem to work well with the 93-95 rebar. I know some people chop off the ends of the older rebar to accomodate the combo lights, which may provide room for the ducts, but I was hoping to avoid that.
Also, just in general, what are you 99 spec guys doing for ducts on the stock coolers? I didn't find a single thread about Chuck's ducts (haha).

What? Huh? What just happened?
It seems that most pics I see of the 99 front, including guys who spare no expense on their FDs like GoodfellaFD3S, don't have oil cooler ducts at all. I figured that since RE's ducts were well-known, more people would be running them.
Final verdict would be that the RE ducts work with the 99 rebar, but not the 93, without trimming. Chuck was an advocate of chopping off the ends of the 93 rebar, which would solve both the combo light and duct fitment problems.
Thanks for the info ,11k, and for lookin out, SLONSHO (whether the charges are true or not).

I have both, left and right ducts. I used the 93 oem rebar with this setup...... as far as i remember the rebar was fine not being chopped for the ducts. I did have to drill the holes for mounting tabs, and trim the fronts of them a bit as they were not perfect fits to the bumper holes (a bit long).
The ends of the rebar dont have to be choped off to wotk with the 99 bumper, just the holes have to be enlarged quite a bit.
Ps on the duct make sure you have it mounted on the tabs the right way, i cant remember but the metal tabs have to either go on the outside or inside of the duct, cant remember at the top of my head, ill have to look.
