Quikrestore for CF hoods

Quikrestore for CF hoods
This is exactly what the title says a quick fix for CF hoods using Meguires's quikwax (hint the name of the thread).
First and for most this DOES NOT remove oxidation from CF but does give it a shine again. YOU WANT TO DO THIS IN THE MOST SHADE AS POSSIBLE!!!!!! I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!
1. Wash your CF hood using a grease removing dish soap diluted in water (like a normal out in your driveway mix). Wash it very good using some pressure to get off all extra build up.
2. Now you want to start with your hood moist but not dripping.
3. Take a dry, clean, 100% cotton hand towel or whatever and apply Meguires's Quikwax liberally to the hood, that means A LOT!
4. You dont want to swirl in a circular motion like normal waxing, you want to go length ways of the hood (windshield to front bumper) apply a good amount of pressure, evenly distributing the wax. You really want to have puddles of wax, so use a lot!
5. After applying that first coat allow it haze up like a normal waxing.
6. Now that it has dried you want to take a microfiber towel and rub width ways (from tire to tire) applying pressure to rub in the wax.
7. now that you have removed all the dried wax you will notice that shine that you remember from when you bought the hood coming back, but we aren't done yet. You want to apply a 2nd coat, using a little less wax than the first time, applying it the same way that we did the first time, length ways/dry and then width ways/remove.
8. Now that you have done two coats, you want to do one more(at least) but this time you want to use a normal amount of wax but still apply the same way as earlier steps.
If you have followed these steps you should notice a huge difference. Remember this is not an oxidation fix or a complete restore, this is a quick, so i doesn't look like complete ****, fix.

sorry, DO NOT DO THIS. after it hit the sun and the hood got hot from the engine it hazed up, now i have to rewash and get the wax off (which isn't hard to do). Sorry for this write-up, i guess there is no quick fix for CF. I am going to try "back to black" and if that doesn't work than i will just sand it down and clear coat it.
sorry again, i hope no one did this.
