question for those who done the re-spray.

For those who done a color change on ur car:
Do u do the engine bay as well?

how many do? and how many don't? just interested thats all.

With the mild exception of a black car, anyone that completely changes the color without including the engine bay is an idiot.

i disagree. if you are painting the car the cost to remove the engine and all the acessories and then put it back, not to mention the additional $$ to spray the engine bay is going to cost a grand or more. you will never see the underhood when your driving. the hood is only up if your working on the car.

If I were goin to respray my car, i would not do under the hood.

If you're going to completely change the color of your car, at least do it properly. You don't necessarily have to remove every single part, but at least mask off as much as you can. A two-toned car looks like ***.

I did my engine bay- I happened to have the engine/tranny out at the time and sent the car to get sprayed...completely stripped...but doing it my way takes a lot of time! Some shops will not spray the bay unless the engine is pulled- so if you by chance do pull the engine, take photos first. It will save you a lot of headaches on the re-install!!
