Q: Alpine Touchscreen
I'm thinking of upgrading my audio system... I like the look of the alpine touchscreen systems.
My concern has always been that I like the tactile feel of the buttons on the radio, enabling me to change stations without looking at the radio. I can see myself spending too much time looking for the next station and BOOM rearend some old lady in a caddy. Well, looking at Alpines system I noticed they had a feedback capability. Anyone have one... like don't like does it really allow you to distinguish between graphic controls on the screen? Or does it only give you feedback after you touch it... as in you won't feel it until after you have 'pressed' the button.
I went to a local audio shop but they didn't have alpines touchscreens...

the feed back doesnt really mimic a real button all that well. Its a neat feature but since we have one in the shop i manage, it got old after a few weeks. However with a touch screen+ remote control, you dont really need to look down all that much.
