Possible stupid question . . . about bondo, and aluminum wheels

I have a pair of Enkei CDR-9's that i want to refinish, but the have massive curb rash and i was wondering if bondo would be a smart solution to these problems.

Just sand the rashed up parts really good and they should be smoothed out. If it has "deep" holes in it then a little bondo won't hurt. Bondo or JB Weld. Bondo is easier to sand though.

Wow, you really masked off the tire well. Every time I paint wheels no matter what it seems to find its way onto the tires. I coated the tires with a thick layer of vaseline last time. Just scrapes off.

I've played that taping game before....that **** takes forever!!!

So you took a pair of rashed up, crappy looking rims and for what....20-30 bucks maybe, you turned them into a "new" set.

Nice work man.

the red is glazing putty. they use it so when they sand a rim repair, that the scratches dont show up in the paint work.
