Wow guess you can fit them in there. I can see where the strut tower brace would go ![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Geeze. At least the 1st and 2nd gen 2+2 seats had some space and you could fold them down.

Yeah they do fold down. Actually mine are folded down most of the time since I haven't had the heart to drill holes into the body for the latches. If you look on the plastic that covers the rear shock tower you'll see two pieces of plastic that cover up a blank. Those are replaced by a steel latch and a plastic cover for the latch.
I've fit a friend back there, 5' 10" for a short trip to lunch. He definetly wasn't comfortable and the passenger had to scoot the seat up. It's just sort of a novelty.
They aren't leather, they are vinyl. Recovering the seat itself wouldn't be too tough. The side panels are actually part of the side of the seat and have some padding behind the vinyl, that might make them harder to recover.
Yep I got mine from Jimmy's. I think I got a good deal before they were popular. I paid a total of ~$370 including shipping. He puts them on Ebay now and they seem to sell for about $500.

that doesn't look THAT bad. I mean I've had to sit in the back of a 3000gt for 4 hours and in the back of a 240sx. Both are prolly slightly bigger than a 7. Its common that the front passenger would have to move the seat up for the person to get their feet in front of them in most small coupes. I don't really care about that since I'm the driver (and there's no way n hell I'm moving up for a 3rd passenger). I plan on using a backseat as little as possible anyway (get one just in case)? Anyone ever made someone sit on a bin before?

Ummm, yeah I've put my father back there on the bins while I was in Germany for like 20min. I felt really bad. Usually we have my girlfriend's best friend with us so my girl opens her legs and her friend sits in between. You can see people shocked when we pull up. So now I got rear seats and not as much fun, liked it better with both of them up front, I've made my girl sit back there on a few occasions(5'4"). It's not comfortable but it's ok.
