i think that blue is a little too bright and busy for the '99 treatment. maybe try to darken it a little?

yea...that color looks like the baby blu...that would look real nice if u had a crazy bodykit going, but the 99 kit is very subtile and calm, a darker blue would look a lot better imo

That reminds me of the laguna seca BMW M3 blue. I'm not a big fan of it, but, do each their own.

I'm not too much of a fan of that colour either. I think they have Miatas in that colour.

It looks like the early 90-93 Miata "Mariner Blue." Go look for one to see if you like it. It's considered the most un-popular of all Miata colors on miata.net, but that doesn't mean that it isn't perfect for you.

well one of you is right about the color......bmw m3 laguna seca blue. ok i see that you guys think the color is too bright for the 99 spec so you guys have any other recommendations. im looking for something different and that stands out a little more than the average colors. i was also thinking of the 350z blue. ill try to chop it up in another color and see what you guys think. thanks for the opinions.

Outline the selection then once you have that all done ( i assume you know all about the slection tools and how to add and subtract from a selection, Then go to image>adjustments>hue/saturation.
You can also adjust the color balance and brightness and contrast to get the colors to look right.

He did a quickie job above that is why the other colors are affected...

I think the colors are all harsh... because they have been computer altered/applied.

Even the yellow looks far to strong (compared to the Mazda yellow).

Based on this I would be willing to bet that an actual photo of the car painted blue might be really attractive, especially if the wheels rims were not chromed or pollished, but painted gray or had a dull satin finish.

well it looks like i got a whopping 3 positive replies whoo hooo! LOL. the computer colors do no justice as stated earlier however its nice to get a basic idea of what things are going to look like before you fork out the cash. if anyone has seen the M3 laguna seca blue, thats the color ive been looking at. it has a little more teal to it than the pics i created and i dont think its as bright. the other color i was contemplating was the new R1 color here

the first blue is too bright.... looks like something a 16 yr old girl would want..... the latter 4 colors all look good, but the blue should still be a bit darker, and the orange/red on the bike looks good, too. have you looked into anything in possibly a deep purple? see what that might look like if ya get the time!
