Those spray cans of clear coad are usually a laquer clear coad and does not look neer as good or shiny as the urethan clear that is on your car now. A good painter may be able to "spot" that area in. It won't last that long, but it will look better than it does now. The only problem is that rough edge needs to be sanded smooth. It looks like there is poor adhesion. When you try to sand it smooth, it may keep peeling back and you may never get a smooth enough edge unless you sand it all off.

and to prevent your 944's clearcoat from peeling again. you should really do a full detail on it once in a while. clay, polish, seal (sealants like NXT tech Wax etc etc), then top coat wax. if you need help try www.autopia.org and click on LEARN and if you want to ask question you can use the forum.
