Paint Question?
I've been reading searching about different paint styles and colors. I am interested in the white with a color in the clear coat. Maybe white with pearl blue like Airbrush said in a post. Any body have any pics of this? Also would this cost more than a normal paint job?

white with a colored pearl in the clear does not cost significantly more than a full paint job because the car has to be cleared anyway. Many factory colors incorporate a pearl into the clear anyway. Since in most cases a new paint job will get multiple layers of clear, the shop could simply add dry pearl into the early layers of clear. If ya want to save money, and make sure ya dont get taken, purchase the pearl you want in advance from a company like house of color or coast airbrush(they sell HOK paints), and give it to the shop when you go to have the car cleared. You will also get a better selection of pearls if you purchase them yourself. Post pics of the paint when ya get it done. I'll post some pics of my car soon too it'll be ready for paint in about 5 weeks.

RedTT is right that pearl is hard to match, but the trouble's worth it. Most colors of pearl look good with white paint, my favorite is HOK's Lazuli Blue. Their screamin yellow or blue green flip flop pearls might look good too. Id carry the color from whatever pearl U use into the interior as an accent color, or if you have a color scheme goin already on the inside, carry it to the outside. Good luck and post pics!

Hey airbrush1, just got an idea from another member. Since I'm thinking about a white with a pearl in the clear coat, what do you think about a Black with something like a dark blue pearl or dark green pearl in the clear coat? Have you ever seen a black car with a pearl in the clear coat?

Gun, have never seen a black car with a pearl in the clear(other than a graphite pearl), but it would probably look sick. An Electric green color pearl would probably be cool, but id stay away from any dark colors in the clear.
