paint protection
I've got a new Feed Ver 2r front bumper for my FD. I'm looking for some armour from rock chips, etc. Anyone heard of a product such as Stoneguard? Or know a better clear coat product. Curious about application and cost associated.

Hey Matt,
The thread was titled something like 'Where to get nose bra for my C-west front bumper?' You can search under my name or Jimlap name as well. Basicly, 3M makes a clear flim that can cover paints w/o harming them. There is a link in that thread to see the product and installer in our area.

I'm just curious about this. I saw my neighbors M3 with it on and it looks just OK. It as taken the rock chips well over the years but now the plastic has imperfections that you can see.
If a custom RX-7 3m bra installed by a professional runs say $800, would it be cheaper just to have your car professionally resprayed and clear coated over??

^^ the entire car? no
a good paintjob will cost anywhere from 2-3k minimum on teh east coast and 3-5k over on the west coast
the front bumper after colormatching and all that will probably run you a couple hundred, but then youre going to get it knicked in the future by stones and all that.
if what youre looking to get is protection and a good bumper...a bra is prob wut u wanna get (e.g. if u show ur car and u dont want imperfections and such)
