I am looking for the paint code for Porsche Red. Id rather have metallic Porsche Red but I dont know if that will change the color code. Thanks

 

My fellow porche expert roommate says its called Guards Red, from the 'Royal Guards of her majesty' or something.

 

Visit your Porsche dealer and ask. I got my paint code from a dealer for a paint color not Mazda-specific.

Porshce has/had 4 reds in the past decade. They are as follows:

Guards Red: this is their main red, it has changed in code and brightness in the past ten years. For Example, the 93 GR was darker than the 99 GR. The 03 Guards Red is by far the brightest GR ever.

1993 - 1995, Guards Red was :80K/G1/M3A
1996 Guards Red was : 80K/G1
1997 - 2000 Guards Red was : 80K/G1 84A
2001 - 2003 Guards Red was/is : 84A/G1

Raspberry Red: Kinda like pink/purple.

1993 - 1994 Respberry Red was : 83E

Arena Red Pearl Clearcoat: a bit darker than Guards Red, it was implemented in 1996 and has changed in code and brightness (severly changed in brightness) throughout its usage.

1996 : ARPC was 84R/H8 and 84S (two seperate Arena Colors which would in 1997 combine to make a darker Arena Red Color with those two codes)
1997 - 2000 : ARPC was darker and had the code : 84R/H8 84S

Oriental Red Metallic Clearcoat: goes towards orange slightly but still undeniably total red.

2001 - 2003 ORMC was/is 8A3/L1

Zanzibar Red: new Red introed by Porsche for the GT2, it's darker, cooler, and better than Guards IMHO. Its what I like to call, "Real Bloody ******' Red".

2002 - 2003 Zanzibar Red was/is : 1A8/N1

Go with Zanzibar Red, it's not plat like Guards, looks more alive.
