...using aluminum spray paint instead of black like everyone else? Not sure if I like it since I just did it today, but then again I have been looking at the same rear end for almost 10 years now.
(Come to think of it, I've been looking at another rear end for almost ten years also - thank God that one has NOT changed!
Oh, well, I can always paint it black easily enough.
Actually, I think I DO like it........and I'm well over 25!

Hey that gives me an idea, what if you sprayed the same color as your exterior? Cause the aluminum look doesn't blend that well with orange-red paint but I bet it would look awesome on a SSM car. Ron, post more pics, its definitely unique and not bad looking at all, just stands a bit much for me.

Don't do it with aluminum. Find a color that is different from your body color and will match your paint color. Be aware though, if you change a color in the back of your rex you'll need to paint sometinhg in the front to compensate for the difference. Maybe your window wipers. Just a suggestion though. Slater

I say paint it black... it looks like a sticker otherwise (like those stickers you see on lame cars trying to have circular tail lights). To me, I'd rather not see that it's a conversion - I'd rather just see circular tail lights.

think it's a 2003 model.......
What's wrong with stickers? I've got them all over my interior! They make it much more interesting to look at!

I say try a different color, maybe black, but do a rotor shape like that w/ a transparent black for inside the circle.
If you know what I mean, so it looks like a rotor when its off, but lights up to the full circle when your brakelights are on.
