Need help from a stereo guru...kenwood

I have installed a Kenwood DDX6019 nav unit in my car and it is stuck in the standby mode. I have tried the reset button and that doens't help. Any ideas on what to try next would be greatly appreciated.

Is a wire grounded wrong? And is your e-brake fully functional (If you didn't bypass that wire from your headunit)?

Thanks for the input. It's grounded correctly and the ignition wire is correct. I have bypassed the need for the e brake...I have two units the other units plugs in and works perfect.

Any other suggestions or ideas?

Some of the radios installed have to have the antenna connected. Some of the alpines do this when the antenna is not connected.
