Need a custom Sub Enclosure
I've been doing a ton of looking through the fourms and the internet, but with not much luck. Im looking for a custom box that fits in the back. I'd like it to hold two 12"s which I could hide, and also hold the amp. I've seen alot around the forums that people have built to take up the hatch, which is what i'd like to get, but I'm not much of a do it yourself type person. Any idea where I can get one or if someone around here can build one.

hey, if your looking for a stealth install, then talk to the guys at elemental designs. I had them do a stealth install on my S2000, simply amazing. My buudy also had a full stealth install that was hidden with a break away floor in his 350Z. Here are the links to the pics of our cars. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/userinstall.php?id=100 and http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/userinstall.php?id=96 . These guys are out of Newton, Iowa about 4 hours from KC. These guys do some of the best work i have seen for the prices they charge. Right now the labor rate is only $15 an hour, and you get a discount if you buy their components. They are great guys and really know their stuff! Once I get an FD, thats where I'm heading to get an install. Check them out at elementaldesigns.com and give them a call.

this is what i made, only one 12" though, makes it nice as i still can utilize the rest of the trunk for groceries or anything else:

the amp is going to be mounted behind the tan divider, waiting for the car to come back from the shop to put the amp in. IMO i had two 12" diamond woofers and it was way way to loud and im 19. One 12 even a 10 with ample power is more than enough to rock the cabin of the fd.

Very nice man. I agree with you and using one twelve or ten inch sub. I think anything more is over board. As long as you have a good amp, sub and box set up you are good to go. I'm only running one Alpine twelve and it rattles my hatch as is with gain at half and bass set at +4 out of 12. If I were to ask you to make another one how much would you charge? If you were willing to that is.

Here it is....
This fits beautifully underneath and gives you room to mount some midrange speakers next to the Amplifier.
Other than that is lightweight since you know the convertible is heavier than the coupe to begin with.
Also I may add that the stock spare tire cover with wind deflector that comes with the convertible can bolt up like factory. Like this people wont know what you have..
My suggestion is to cut some 6x9 holes and just put speaker grilles on top and the sound will permeate outwardly. Thieves wont know what you have underneath. Now you get to a car show or meet and take the cover off to show off what's underneath.
I am going to sell these as complete unit assembled or unassembled in a box like when you buy furniture that you put together. It will have instructions and all the necessary hardware.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
