had a question about the harness bar.... I had read that using the strut towers for a harness bar was a big no no. regardless I thought that was the best place for one, but are these race legal? In races that don't require cages I mean.

are you talking about the angle at which they are coming to your seats as a big no no? according to Sparco, you want you harnesses between 3 o'clock (straight back) and 4 o'clock (45* angle difference down.)

i have a harness bar from Rotary Extreme that was drilled and threaded specifically for harness (based off of the M2 piece, i believe). i havent had issues while teching in (and ive gone through some rigorous "strip searches"), so i dont believe they are illegal. as for making a home made strut tower harness bar, im not sure how well it will hold or if i would trust it? ive seen it done, but im not sure how it would actually hold up in an accident. better to be safe then sorry, you know. but id get other opinions as well.

if you are thinking about racing, i would call the sanctions headquarters and ask for the technical department. they should know what will and what wont pass inspection.

Did you ever install the Evo seat in your car? Did it fit? I am looking at Sparco's sizing chart and it say the bolsters to the Evo is 23.62" wide and the Sparco Pro2000 are 23.50" and from what I understand the Sparco Pro2k will not fit. So how did you get your Evo to fit, if you installed it.

I should let you know, I had the Pro2k for 2 years now and still have not installed it, LOL. hopefully the weather holds up, I plan on doing it this weekned. I think the bolster on the door sides will need to be trimmed a little. I saw it done on another FD awhile ago.

i originally bought EVOs for my car, but the shop i had building it at the time had no clue what they were doing when they were installing them. they were too tall and a little too wide, so i had to settle on the Torinos (which the shop also managed to screw up and break during installation.) i bought the MemoryFab 'super-lo' seat rails this time around, so im thinking ill have better luck with this set up. Worse case scenario, im stuck with the Sprint seat for my driver side (which wouldnt be too bad; great support, sub belt hole, side bracket mounting, comfortable.)

i originally wanted a Pro2000, but i didnt think it would ever fit. let me know how that goes for you (since you'll probably have yours in before i do) and ill let you know how mine goes once my interior's all squared away.

Thanks to me making some room in my storage unit by selling a good amount of parts (*NOTE-never include shipping on anything that's bigger then 5lbs; i ended up paying out of pocket $110 on a $250 total item i learned the hard way*), I ordered a ShineAutoProject FRP Front Undertray and a Sparco 345 Suede Steering wheel with NRG 160H Hub Adapter and a NRG G2 Quick Release Adapter. They should all be in by next weekend, and i'll bring everything down to my mechanics, and hopefully have the car squared away by May.

i finally wrote up a 'master list' of what i want/need to 'finish' (there's always going to be something else needed) my twin turbo set up so i can stay focused, instead of being everywhere on what i think i need. I wish i did this earlier; at least before i started building it. Here's what it looks like:

-Amerex 2.5lb Fire Extinguisher
-Amerex Double Strap Fire Extinguisher Bracket
-Sytec 6 Terminal Battery Master Switch
-Push Button Start
-Ignition Switch
-Autometer CF Series Fuel Pressure Gauge
-Autometer CF Series Battery Voltage Gauge
-Remove Stereo/Speakers; Add CF Panel with Kill Switch, Push Button Start, Ignition Switch, Fuel Pressue Gauge, Battery Voltage Gauge
-Nukabe Universal Tow Hooks
-Sun Automotive Hyperground Kit
-Gotham Racing Twin Oil Cooler Kit
-Gotham Racing Twin Oil Cooler Brackets
-Gotham Racing Engine Torque Brace
-Tanabe Sustec Underbrace
-5Zigen ProRacer GN+ Mat Bronze 17x9.5
-Kumho Escta MX Tires 275/40/17 Rear
-Kumho Esca MX Tires 255/45/17 Front
-ShineAutoProject FEED Front Fenders (+0.8")
-VIS Carbon Fiber Hatch; reinforced for GT wing
-Flex-A-Lite Lexan Glass
-Sparco Hood Pins for Hatch
-APR GTC CF 300 Wing
-ShineAutoProject CF Rear Diffusser

any suggestions as to what my list may be missing? (other then front bumper)

i haven't seen my car in months, so forgive me for going crazy with the camera. i had a hard time finding any pictures of Evo seats or a Autopower Roll bar in a FD; so hopefully it will come in handy for someone else in the future.
