Maaco Paint job?

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with maaco. All of the local "mom and Pop" paint shops around here start as 2-3k$ so im thinking of going to maaco. Im looking at spending around 1200$. no real damage to body just a few dings. Factory white, but im thinking of upgrading to the brightest white I can find/afford. No biggie if engine bay/jams stay stock... Any idea what I can get for this price from maaco?

thanks alot.
Rob

The Maaco shops all seem to be different. However one thing that is consistent with Maaco's: If you want a $300 paint job, they will give you one.

The Maaco which used to be near me did $300 paint jobs and $4000+ paint jobs. It just depended on how much the person wanted to spend. Just don't expect that a cheap paint job is going to be as good as a more expensive one.

You might see if you can find someone who works at a body shop who will do the work "off hours". Typically you'll have to do the prep work, but can save you some cash and give you a really good paint job.

the thing about maaco is that while yes they do alot of cheapo paint jobs they will do more expensive paint jobs and ive heard they can come out pretty decent.

my best advice i can give you is to remember you get what you pay for.

if $1200 is your budget i suggest saving up for a bit longer and getting a paint job youll be glad you got and one that will last for quite some time.

Try to do as much of the prep work yourself like removing lights and trim. If possible do your own masking and sanding. The job will come out much better if you do your own prep work than having them do everything for you.
