Looking for info on the C-west kit with hellas

Hey Guys,

I looked but had not look finding anything on this, so I figured I'd ask. I'm looking into gettin either the c-west headlights or the r-magic lights (the new sleek light ones). I'm looking more toward the c-west though cause I like hte look, but am curious about anyone that has replaced the main headlight with the hella 90mm lights. A couple of questions:

Do the hella lights use fog light bulbs or actual headlight bulbs?
Anyone know anything about the beam pattern after switching to the hellas?
Has anyone managed to squeeze a hid kit into a hella 90mm housing?

I'm really gearing toward the c-west kit, but don't want to blind anyone and would like some hids (figure I can work on the aiming of the beam if and when I put the hellas in)

Any info would be great guys, thanks.

The authentic C-west light kits came with Catz foglights for lighting. The knock-off's may have hella lights (doubt they would fit with the provided space, but ya never know) but I doubt it. Please post a link to the headlights your talking about, that would help much more.

well, I'm pretty open to suggestions, I figure that if I could I'd like to get the knockoffs to save some cash, but if it came down to having to pay more to ensure proper fitment and all, I'd py the extra. hmm, you think the knock offs might have the hellas? if that were the case, it might save me some time................thanks, gonna look around and see what I can find.

Once it's in, then there are no maintenance required.....Sorry, I can't help you with the installation process cuz I didn't do the installation myself...If you need a list of materials I used then I can give you that cuz I bought all the materials myself...

nah, it's ok about the install, I was planning on doing the job myself during the spring. if you could PM me the materials you used I'd appreciate it. also, how did you get the lens cover off? when you get the kit, does it come not attached or did the lens and the housing have to be separated to get to the lights? if you had to separate them, any info on how to do it?

Im going to go with Hella 90mm pods too but their HID is too expensive - just gonna get regular ones.

$1000+ for a pair of 90mm HIDs is too rich for me

Plz share list of material. I plan on making the light myself. All i know from the top of my head is to make a fiberglass mold that will hold whatever foglights i use, mount them somehow, paint it, and cover it with custom plexiglass ?? Something like that. BTW im using 02 BMW HID kit. Found them in the boneyard.
