Recaros
Here's a photo of the Recaro SPG's that I got from Alwan 16 a couple months ago. They use the Recaro sliders sourced from Japan. True to his word, they fit perfectly with about a couple mm clearance at the door. They are great once your in them but for us older, less limber folks it is a bit more of a challenge.

seatbelt mount
The Recaro sliders have the seatbelt latch bolted to them. Here's a photo of it, kind of hard to see but you get the general idea. I'll use harnesses when I autocross or do track days.

I wasn't hating on Momo Pat... Momo, Sparco, and Recaro are one thing, it's "Buddy Club" that I can't get over. Besides, I got the EVO out of the Bee waiting for me at Bret's.
Now those Technomagnesios on the other hand, I'm a little sorry I didn't work that trade w/ the SSR's.

Are there any seats with a wrap around head restraint that fits the FD?
I'm looking at the Recaro Pro Racer SPG, Racetech, Sparco Circuit Pro and the Status Imola

You must not be married.
I wouldn't look forward to convincing my wife to crawl in and out of a race shell.

The A4 is damn comfy, I actually find it jsut as easy to get in/out of the car. The fabric is microseude so it is very comfy, makes me wish I could drive nekkid. Only thing I can complain about is that the narrow version, while it fits my lower body - pushes my shoulders forward a lot.
I sit a little higher maybe an inch or two, so it does affect steering wheel spacing but its nota problem for me. The seat slides and reclines so you can adjust the leg room. If you have really thick legs maybe this could be a problem.
The seat rubs just slightly at the very top... not sure what I can do about that apart from remounting it... it isnt a big deal right now the seat reclines and moves and my head is fine.
As far as installation went, the hardest part was removing the old seat. Previous owner somehow managed to crossthread 2 out of the 4 bolts >_<
Why did I only swap out one seat? Well first of all the drivers seat was the only one with any damage, the pass. seat's leather is in grade-A shape, while the drivers side had many rips and tears. Also its half the cost and I dont really see why a passenger needs an aggressive seat - the FD is uncomfortable enough for passengers. So I can deal with uneven looks - to me its no big deal, people will find something to call me out about on my car one way or another.

Ok, i have the Corbeaus C1 seats, and bought the slider rails. First they are great seats for track and driving. However, i found the seats at least 2" taller than stock, which had me go to an upholstry shop and have the foam trimmed and the bottom springs stretched so they would fit into that space between the rails. They are also a tight fit rubbing slightly on the tranny tunnel and part of the door frame. Also i could not mount the stock seat belt receivers becasue they were too tight, so i have to use the harness all the time (PITA).
Has anyone else with the same seats figured out how to mount the stock seat belt recievers? i would be nice to use those to jump down the street to the store.
Anyway they are great seats.
