Seriously, there are several production cars with fixed seats, some with no roof.

Lotus Exige/Elise
Porsche 911 GT3
Mclaren P1

I see this more as a problem when you are tracking and there is a relatively high probability of roll-over from gravel traps. A helmet and roll bar would be a good idea on the track.

This is kinda what I was getting at. I am planning to track in the future but I am 6'1 and in a touring so I have to be concerned about head clearance. So naturally I am considering aftermarket seats, but If I start tracking I will need/want a bar for safety. On top of that I have the JDM rear seats for my son, its proven to be the best mod I've done on the car:). So adding a roll bar would further complicate things in the back seat as well. I'm aware there is no perfect solution for me, just getting as much info as possible for a solution in the future.

I know there's very little chance you'll see this, but can you tell me what you did with the roll cage on the driver's side so it doesn't keep you from doing heel toe?
