Knights Sports vs MazdaSpeed hood

It wouldn't be a 100% scientific test, but one could measure the velocity of the air exiting the vents or even if air was exiting the vents. I don't have the hard setup data in front of me, but one could create a barometer of sorts to check for pressure change in and around the vents by using string and a measuring tape. At the very least, you'd get an indication of which way the air was flowing. Someone mentioned to me that removing the weather strip between the hood and the firewall helps to remove heat. I'm a bit skeptical as it may actually disrupt airflow in and around the engine bay and force air IN instead of letting it out. The base of the windshield is a high pressure area and is used for "cowl" induction.

Oh another consideration, the vents on the KS, while bigger, are also further back than the MS hood vents. If you do any duct work, the KS may be better. I know Chuck is making a horizontal mount IC that will have a rearward duct for the IC to the KS hood vent.
