just got back from the body shop, look.....
I asked my good friend that owns a body shop to give me some samples of a good color for my car and he ask for a body piece that I wouldn't mind getting painted. So I give him my eastbear headlight covers. Well, I told him I wanted a purplish mystic color. This is what he came up with. He still hasn't gotten back to me on pricing so I'm guessing it's alot. What do you guys think? I'll probably end up paying just the cost for paint. Of cousre this isn't as good of a job of if he would paint my car. It still needs to be polished

Wow, I think you should definitely get that color on your FD. I'm extremely jealous, because I don't know anyone that owns a body shop that can give me great deals.

actually, I talked to RX7-2JOCK and the colors are alot different. I have a lot of green in the paint and Jock says he has none and is blue. Plus, he has a solid color while mine has metalic on it. I'm getting another sample of gold and green pretty soon. He's going to get me a sample of copper and purple too

Change that jade green color to more of a dark saphire maybe ... a shade of blue. The mystic colors that have to much of a color change don't look right on FD's. But if all the colors are similar in hue and shade, it looks much better.

My problem with Montego Blue is that it is just to dull ... it just doesn't grab you like a lot of other colors can. It only comes to life in very bright, direct sunlight ... and only then if you're close to the car. If it's cloudy, or the car is dirty, Montego Blue just looks really plain.
