Interior Re-Do! New leather skins installed finally!
I finally got around to installing my new leather seat skins. I was very pleasantly surprised how well they fit. I got these from ebay:

They had a "best offer" on the auction and I got them for $300 shipped! That was half the price that leatherseats.com wanted for their covers, and these fit awesome!
The install took me a full day (about 7 hours) for both seats, being my first time. The area right before the headrest on the sides was a bit wrinkled, but a few minutes with the heat gun and it shrunk the wrinkles to a reasonable level.
I also got a matching shift boot from Redline. I'm still waiting for time to get to the shop so I can weld up my Skunk2 weighted shift ****/lever, but the crappy domestic **** that's on there will do for now.
I had all the interior plastics sanded and painted black with a semi-gloss clear. It's a hair glossier than stock, but no one can tell. I didn't do the passenger door armrest and it's VERY close to matching perfectly. I also bought new chrome rings for the gauge cluster. It's actually NICE to be on the inside of this car now... haha
I threw in one crappy phone pic from work for giggles.

If anyone would like to trade me a Mazda logo (flying M ?) airbag like from a Mazda 3, protege, Miata for my Nardi airbag, I'll trade straight up.
I'm not a JDM-tight-yo rare parts hoarder. I think I'd rather have the chrome "M" instead (as long as it's in good shape).

Much nicer than stock. The stock leather was very plastic-y feeling and thin. This is much softer, but still thick and tuff. After a good conditioning it's almost rubbery... without being cheap. Hard to describe, I guess. It's definitely how the stock leather SHOULD have felt.

Holly snap that looks good for a diy seat recovering. I want to get the seats in my FC done but I don't even know where to start. I have to have the bolstering redone as well so I think it will be pricy.... Man my restoration list is long.
Great job on the whole interior.
