That looks great!
It's funny too, because I just installed mine after painting them the exact same color - Testor's black pearl metallic. It was my winter project.
I went off Majik's post on painting the parts and it worked out great (do a search here on interior painting). If you use the ELO paint remover first, the old finish just wipes right off and the plastic is unaffected.
I also tried to make it more satin-finished but that color paint didn't look right - too gray. Mine turned out with the same gloss as yours after about 2-3 coats of satin lacquer and 4 coats of gloss.
I also painted only my center console piece and tried it for a few months belore, just to see how it would hold up. With the lacquer clear coats it was great.

wow that looks really great - I think you picked a nice colour that matches up really well. I just didn't think that a model paint could look that good. So, in the end you're saying you just used the paint and no clear coat or anything on top? It just looks professionally done, I don't know if I could trust myself to turn out a job like that.

Sometimes I hate this forum...who knows how I logged in under that guy's name, but that last post was mine not that it matters that much...just frustrating.

Did you paint the gauge cluster as well? More specifically, did you paint the top of the gauge cluster and does it reflect sunshine now?
I'd like to redo my parts at some point but am concerned about painting it and then having a real shiny reflective dash.
