I need a Body shop/guys opinion on this Skyline r33 thats for sale

I'm looking into buying this car.

http://myweb.cableone.net/tsaber/r33.htm

ebay listing

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...QQcmdZViewItem

the problem i have with the car is the damage. obviously. and they said they talked to a body shop and said it can be fixed, yet they went through all the trouble of ordering the parts but they wont take it to get fixed?

it seems they bit off a little more then they could chew now they are trying to get rid of it by saying they have all the parts that can fix it.

the reason i'm considering this car b/c i could pick it up cheaply still 15 grand and if it can be put back together! key word can and drive stright down the road. then i could say i picked up a r33 skyline GTR for about 25 grand after everything fixed. 15 for car 10 for repairs. motor rex sold it for 50000 when they imported it and that ower decided to was time to wreck the damn thing. prob. doing something stupied.

it has full legalized papers which is another plus. i just want to get some feed back. i could potenially make money on this car by buying it fixing and selling but i want to find out for sure this thing can be fixed and running stright down the road befor i commit to the project.

thanks for looking

Anything can be repaired, just depends on how much you are willing to dump into it or you have the ability (and tools) to do it. I saw a rolled late model Land Cruiser at a local body shop, cut down to the floor pan, then built back up. They had to have gotten it for pennies to put that much effort into.

Frankly though, if this is a shop, and they are trying to get rid of it, it sounds fishy. If they spent the effort, they would get a lot more for it repaired then its current condition, even (and especially) if they have all the parts to complete it.

I say pass; sounds like potential false economy to me. Save up/study hard/get good job and buy one that is not in pieces.
