its a bitch no matter what you do there should be a gromet somewhere that will allow you to poke a hole in it and slide the cample through some people put windex on the powercable and use a screwdriver taped to the wire to assist in getting it through. It in my opinion is probobly one of the harder parts of the install. If you need any help with amps feel free to contact me I have rerun all the speaker wires in my car to the trunk and have 2 amps sub and main speakers

It's pretty simple to remove the driver's side wheel well liner, run the power cable down through the plastic grommet (opening) at the back of the engine bay (right beside the brake booster, where the other wiring exits the engine bay) and then run it through one of the rubber grommets that enter the car which are hidden by the wheel well liner.
Cut a small hole in the rubber and feed some cable through, then get under the dash (having removed the kick panel) and check out where it's coming into the car and pull it through. Try to keep the hole through the rubber grommet as small as possible.
It's not difficult, and doesn't even take very long to do. You can run the power wire along the channel beside the door sill, and 4-gauge and 2-gauge will fit there fairly easily.

not always. not most of the time. if you actually look at ALL the holes in the firewall, you will figure something out, i always find it easiest to fun it along the stock body electrical.
you are SUPPOSED to run it down the same side as the battery, to help prevent as much radiative noise as possible, while running the signal wires either down the middle or the opposite side of the car.
with the fc, run the wire along the fender, dip it down along the stock body electrical/engine (you might have to make a slice in the factory grommet in able to do so but its not that hard) then prepare to break your back to get under the dash.
fish it along the floor or side kick panel (i always use the little passageway that mazda supplied on the sides of the cab) run it behind the seat or wherever, DONE.
may i suggest a new battery, such as an optima red top if it is a daily driver, or if you are doing a full system, otherwise, invest in an aftermarket stereo system battery post. (the optima uses side posts)
