How to primer ?
I know most people out there know how to primer a car, but this is my first time doing any modifcations on my own. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a list of products to primer my fc white and if possible, an estimate. And of course some information on actually sanding and applying the primer to my car. Any advice is welcomed. Sorry for the basic question but it would help me greatly to accomplish sopme work during my christmas vacation. Thank you and have a good christmas season..

I wish I was driving!
1. Get out yellow pages.
2. Look up "Automobile Painting"
3. Call some of the numbers on that page.
Priming and painting a car takes a LOT of money in equipment to do correctly, and it will be cheaper, safer, and with less chance of mistakes for you to have this professionally done.

If you want to primer your car, you must realize that this will actually make it MORE difficult and expensive to paint your car in the future. If you must primer, because your car is way too heinous as it is--DON'T have the mindset that this will make your car easier to paint. It's a lot easier and better if primer is completely taken out of the picture.
Poor man's primer:
If you want primer, sand the whole car (moderately) with 400 grit and then clean it all off as good as possible. Mask off all areas of the car you don't want overspray to get on using newspaper and good quality masking tape. Buy a little plastic gun thingy that attaches to the top of the spray can that makes it so you don't have to use your finger to spray (your finger will fall off). Spray starting from the top, on the flat surfaces (roof, hood) because these will be the hardest to blend.. Ah, I'm too tired to type. You'll figure it out. Maybe consider flat black rather than primer, primer should be used over bondo/bodywork etc.

Talk to your local auto paint supply store.
Those guys are usually very talkative.
Different (paint) brands can have their own special procedures, and the paint supply guys usually know this.
They can give you the best answers to you all your questions...

What Subscription?
Talk to the shop spraying your paint. MOST do not want to have customers doing the prep work. Primers and Topcoats are designed as a system, if you screw the primer up, the topcoat will not perform as designed.
