How 2 retract FD Antenna when playing CD?

Hi all,

Just installed a Naka-45z HU (loved it!!) with the Scosche adapter. Everything works great. Just that I'm wondering if there's a way to make the antenna retract when playing CDs?

Thx!

Damn that's a good idea, that always annoyed me too. So what kind of switch did you use?

That's kinda weird because whenever i've installed aftermarket head units in my cars it will automatically keep the antenna down unless the radio is on (this is w/ Kenwood and Sony, btw)

yeah but it rises it when the CD player is in and you don't need the antenna when you are listening to CD.

personnaly, i hate the look of the antenna so i decided i didn't want it up when i don't need it.

personnaly, it is one of the three "NOS" switch i have on my center console

I've have the same problem. When I'm listening to CD's the damn antenna is still up. I talked to the people at circuit city, they say it just depends on the brand and model of head unit you go with. I forgot exactly what its called but is the functionality of particular headunits that keep the antenna up when CD's are played. HOpe that helped.

did any of you guys pay to have you cd players installed? if so you got screwed.

come on read the installation instructions on your cd player. unless you stole it then shame on you go shoot yourself.

cd player have two turn on leads

blue is power ant turn on . only has power when radio is on.

blue with whire stripe is amplifier remote turn on lead. has power whenever radio or cd is on.

if you don't have two blue wires then you bought a piece of ****. take it back and buy an

alpine cda-7893 cool silver and blue
or
alpine cda-7894 amber lights match dash perfect

why one of these because they have

60 watts by 4 power
crossovers
both of which will make you system sound better

and they also have all the other b.s. options

as far as a switch goes why dont you just turn it off and listen to the engine so you know when your running 10 gand in second

later

60x4 is only peak....they're actually 27wx4....which is like 5 or 6 watts more than Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer...etc etc(most have 22wx4).

I just got XM, never listen to the radio, so I just pulled the connector so my antenna never goes up.
