Talking Hood Pins on CF Hood,

Hi, Will alloy pop-rivets be OK to use to fit the hood pins to a carbon hood? just a bit worried that they might crack the hood? The pins came with self tapers and the small clips but they are a pig to get at under the hood,
Cheers Steve

You should be find.....I was told that you should drill the holes from the backside out. I sold my CF hood before I installed the pins so I can't speak from experience....I'm sure someone will chime in.

I used them on mine without anything getting messed up. I used washers on the back side, I'd highly recommend that.

just drill through the back side or you can ruin the finish and maybe even cause cracks in the fiber if you go from the top. If you reinforce the hole with washers like was stated you should not be putting so much stress on the bolt hole itself which could kind of sand the hole bigger over time, its hard to explain. also get some quality pins you can trust.
