good soap to remove exhaust residue

any suggestions?

the armor all brand isn't cutting it. I got it off but with alot more scrubbing than I wanted to do. I am hoping I can get some good 'home' remedy suggestions for this one.

Usually some "Bug & Tar Remover" will losen it up and then you can wipe it off with a soapy sponge.

Like I mentioned to the guy who asked about tar removal, I tend to stick with Kerosene for removing junk like tar, sap, etc. Denatured alcohol will also work.

The denatured alcohol works good, but do wear gloves. My first experience with it was an unpleasant one since I did NOT wear gloves, and was using it for 2-3 hours trying to remove yellow road paint. I still prefer kerosene, as strange as that may sound, for removing various junk. Kero isn't rough on your hands either, lol.

BTW Seth, my name is Ron, and as you probably guessed from my SN I am doing my best to purchase a 7. Just thought I'd introduce myself.

I use Mother's cleaner/wax remover and it gets rid of all the black residue.

grease lightning works really well for me. i always wet the bumper first becuase it will streak red paint if you let it sit to long. also Is there anything I can use to clean the engine bay up some??? sence the paint in the engine bay doesnt have a cc degreasers take the paint off fast.

Scratch Out, by Kit, worked great on my white bumper - be sure to wax it afterwards
