I had couple of hoods before my scoot replica..
I first didn't like it.. wanted to got with AD-9 hood.. but when chuck had a special.. Me and buddy of mine bought it together to save on shipping.. which came to be pretty cheap from start..
Anyhow, here is a pic.. YES... its busy and even more with the fender and mirrors.. And maybe borderline Riced out.. I'm beginning to like the look.. Its all growing on me..
Only problem I see are that with the rain guard, it hits my Greddy IC pipings.. And also my R1 strut bar.
Far as performance.. I think it does a fine job.. I was slightly concerned about not having hood pins.. but because of all the openings, pressure can not build under the hood.. so it shouldn't pop open.. I've taken it to about 150-165MPH and seems to be fine..

This is a little off topic but does any one know what turn signals those are? I know they fit in the 99 light holes but they apper to be made of fiber glass with the lights recessed in them. Or maybe they just have covers on them.

I have always liked the scoot hood alot... BUT
If any of you have checked out importfan lately. They made a replica of the scoot hood for the FD. And they didnt stop there, they are making scoot hoods that fit all kinds of crap. Idk if its just me, but once I see the scoot hood on something other than a rx-7 It wont be cool anymore.

Damn you have one hell of a car collection. Nice NSX!!!
IMHO The scoot hood can be overwhelming on a stock looking car. You have to add the right combination of body parts and accesseries to really make it work in the overall look. Thats why most of you who dislike the hood really like herdblenny's car.

Phil's car has the border fenders and what not, so it goes with the flow. In that case, I can deal w/ it, but I still wouldn't get it myself
But hey...to each his own. Some people go *crazy* over the scoot hood...others (like me) simply just dont like it

No it's not Turbo'd
It's strictly a matter of personal taste as far as the look goes...
I've siad it once, and I'll say it again... I usually buy things for function/form, function beeing 60% important and form 40% since the FD allready has great form... therefore, the reason I bought a scoot and intend to move it to my new car, is Heat... the AD9 hood wasn't out yet and I hadn't seen any other hood that would vent as much heat as the scoot, as well as I wanted a v-mount from the beginning.. and the scoot was perfect for it.. Since then I bought the V-Mount, and once Cali. gets real hot and I want to go on a track day I'll put on the scoot, which I'll probhably switch back and forth, since the scoot also leaves a lot to be seen by a snoopy officer...
