If you think the bumper is defective, you should have sent it back. If you decide to just have it fixed by your bodyshop, it's your choice. I was willing to take it back and replace it if it's defective but you didn't want to send it back. If you didn't have $150 to send back the bumper but you paid your bodyshop $800, that just does not make any sense. It's your bodyshop that screwed you, not us since they never told you how much it costed or you never asked them?
No manufacturer can make products with zero defective rate. If there is anything that's defective, I will take it back and pay for all the shipping cost. That's the best I can do in this kind of situation. And that's assuming that the bumper is indeed defective. Since you never sent it back, there is no way I can verify.

I didn't want to get another replica bumper becuase I had already seen how horrible this one was and didn't have the moeny or time to risk getting another one.
I also didn't have the money at the time to pay to have the bumper shipped back to you ($150) and have the body shop charge me storage fees for having my car sitting there until you decide what you were going to do. Also if I did decide to send it back so you could test fit it and see that it didn't fit for yourself I would have just gotten my money back and not have a bumper for my car and storage fees to pay until I got another bumper shipped from some where else.
All in all I had a bad experience from RE, some people don't (glad to hear it) and I plan on purchasing parts for my FD elsewhere.

Vouching for chuck, I ordered a diffuser from him about 4 months ago. come to find out, I had not recieved any mounting bolts or anything. I personally thought it just came with the diffuser, and it was up to me to take care of the rest (mounting). Chuck emailed me, and asked if I had recieved the bolts or not, and I said no. 2 days later a shipment of screws and stuff came from USPS, and I didn't pay a penny out of pocket. I know its only nuts and bolts, but its the customer satisfaction aspect that was totally kickass on Chuck's part.
I'd reccomend Chuck to anyone anyday.

Chris

For those of you who support us, I want to say thank you. It's hard to satisfy all the customers out there but we are trying out best.
On the sideskirts group buy, I can't host the group buy on this forum because I didn't advertise this month. Please email me at rotaryextreme@aol.com or call 510-683-8850 for inquiry. Thank you.

MItch 529-
at point 1 where there is a gap- I put a bolt into the stock location from the lip, that tightens that gap right up, the stock lip is bolted there, so why wouldnt you bolt the diffuser there? There was even a spot in the mold that showed you where to drill it out.
I did sand the corners a bit, hardly "alot", not sure what sandpaper or what kind of file you were using, next time try some 80 or 100 grit paper, no need for anything finer.
This is a piece that bolts on to the bumper, you cant avoid a gap or a lip, only way around it is to bolt it compleatly underneath, which wouldnt work because if it didnt wrap around to the wheel wells it would catch air behind and rip itself off the car.
Gel coat cracks cannot be avoided sometimes, this is a part costing a couple of hundred dollars, I fix cracks in $1,000,000 boats, **** happens.

I did NOT have $150 to send the bumper back I am NOT making this **** up, I had to borrow the money to pay the extra $800 in bodywork it took to get the bumper to look "decent" and like I said before I didn't have the money or time to have my car sitting in the shop while I sent the bumper back to you to be "inspected".
My bodyshop didn't screw me they did the best they could with what they had to work with, they didn't know how much work it was going to take to get this bumper to fit so they obviously couldn't give me a accurate quote, it seemed like once they fixed one part of the bumper they found something else that didn't fit.
I am not blaming you for the fact that I didn't send it back I am just saying the product that I received from your shop was shitty and I would NOT suggest you to other people. I remember explaining my situation to you and sending you numerous pictures (which I still have most of) proving to you the shotty quality and how I could not afford to have the bumper sent back and was just asking for a portion of the money back so that I could pay the body shop to fix the crappy bumper.
You seem pretty arrogant to call me an out right lair and I hope others can see that.

If the bumper is not bolted on, anything can appear not fitting. I can show you some pictures of a bumper not bolted on appearing to be a piece of crap and magically after I bolted it on, everything fits fine. I need you to send me the bumper back for inspection. I asked you to sign your name on all sides of the bumper so when I send you the photos, you can make sure it's the bumper that you sent back that's fitted on a car.
You can borrow $800 to finish the bumper but you can't borrow $150 to send back the bumper. This just does not make any sense. First of all, if the bumper is indeed defective, you get your shipping back. If you go ahead and spend $800 to fix it, you are not getting anything back.
I am not calling you a liar. You obviously left off some important parts of the whole transaction that I offered you an replacement if the bumper is indeed defective and I will test fit the replacement, take photos, email you before I ship it to you. In your first post, did you mention any of that? You make it seem like I was out there to screw you. This has nothing to do with arrogance. I don't know how you come to that conclusion. I need to do my part to protect myself and my business. If every time when someone who just emails me some photos of the bumper not bolted on the car and claiming it to be defective and asks for money back, I will be out of business in no time. The resolution I offered you is very fair and square. Most companies ask you to pay for shipping if you wish to return a product and if the product is indeed defective, you still do not get your shipping money back.

And just for the other claims... my bumper is oem and not warped or anything else.

No it's not Turbo'd
Well we all know the front bumper sags with age, OEM or not... so why wouldn't the rear sag with age... I'm not trying to defend anybody here.. but the stock parts aren't all they're cracked up to be either.... especially on '93 s....

Maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad diffuser but when that’s the first thing I have purchased from a company it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It’s like going to a restaurant and the food sucks, your friend says their going to go eat there and you tell them your experience...
And for Chuck, if you’re wondering why I didn’t contact you about my problems with the diffuser... To me it wasn't worth your time & money or mine sending parts back and forth etc... I was just voicing my opinion and experiences for others. I feel that a buyer has the right to know. Again I do not mean to say that Chuck is running a bad or crooked business, he was very fair to deal with and has been very understanding and professional in his replies. I am just expressing my experiences with a part I purchased from you.

perhaps if the part is trimmed it should allow more in the corner areas to meet the bumper, if you crank down on the bolt it will pull the bumper down with it, I only put a couple of turns on it to tighten the gap up.
I can tell you that sometimes when you buy brand new OEM parts they dont quite bolt on with no problems, some minor tweeking here and there is considered normal.
