all these vented hoods.... i'm wondering when the car is running... are those hot air coming out from them... or sucking in cooler air ? especially those DIY cut holes.. i'm wondering if water got in.. what will happen to the electrical systems.

Reverse scoop hood let hot air out. Almost all of these hoods have reverse scoop hoods; the scoot hoods front vent lets cold air in.

You guys make it sound like the stock configuration is sealed from water. It isn't; I've driven the car, stock hood, stock everything else, and still managed to get splash from under the car up onto the Y-PIPE. I now this, because I use to pop the hood after driving, and there were dirty water stains on it once after I had driven in the rain. How many of you guys have honestly been under the car? Go take a look. Do you honestly think some rain water isn't going to make it into the engine bay thru the radiator from the front as well?

As long as the vents are not directly over the fuse boxes/igniter/etc, one should be fine. It just takes a little bit of common sense.
