I'm thinking about purchasing an Eclipse 7001 indash 5.8" monitor and 6 disk changer for $500 used. Do you guys think this is a good price? Any experience with this head unit and changer? I'm going to be adding DVD later just wanted some input on this head unit.

 

Sounds like a great price. I m almost done installing an Eclipse 506 cd player and 85W RMS by 4ch amp. It looks to be a great system, and the guy I bought everything from except the head unit has that screen and said he loves it. Before you buy make sure the person has it registered in their name and will give you all the info including mothers maiden name and address so you can transfer ownership. The person who sold me mine never registered it in his name and was the second owner. The car audio dealer took 3 days and about an hour on the phone or more to transfer ownership and unlock it even though I had the right original owners name and address and he sells Eclipse. Also it wasn't reported stolen. So if it ever gets stolen the theif won't be able to use it and if he tries to call and unlock it they will see it was stolen.

 

Thats cheap, is the Serial # rubbed off ?
