In Dash LCD Monitors the best resolution

I'm looking at two simple and inexpensive In Dash LCD Monitors. What is the better resolution:

640 x 480 Pixels or
960 x 234

either one is rather low compared to a computer monitor, but 640x480 is normal computer aspect ratio, where as 960x234 is widescreen

960x234 seems to be a bit too "thin" compared to a normal widescreen.... that's over 4x in length vs width

If you just want a basic omparo, multiply the 2 #'s together
