Question In-dash 5" tach install

Anyone replace their tach with an indash 5 " one like an autometer ?. If so can you please post some info on it and maybe pics.
For those wondering why ......., I will be going past 9000rpm's , maybe to 10,500 or so .

I go to 9 daily 10.5 would be kinda stupid though.. at 11k you could kiss your leg goodbye when your flywheel detatches and cuts it off

You need to relax. Someone was just trying to make conversation and help you out by giving sound advice. Maybe the flywheel should break and do us all a favor and cut your head off.

Just because the tach doesnt goto 11k doesnt mean the car wont. Get an aftermarket tach and put it somewhere. Easy fix.

Side note: the only time you would make power enough to want to goto 11k rpm is on an NA PP application. And anything more than 8.5-9k rpm is actually very dangerous for obvious reasons, and the engine will need to be built to hold those high revs. A stock internal engine can not see those revvs without warpage.

I have had this conversation a million times already , thanks for the "advice" , but I have already decided what I am going to do .I some times get tired of all the "ole talk" that leads to nowhere.I asked about a tach . install , thats all , thanks for the advice but all I want to know right now is about a tach install.

I know my car , I built it , I know that it will go to 12000rpm if I let it , this is why I got a bit wound up . Everyone decided to jump in and volunteer opinions about something the dont know about , because your motor won't , doesnt mean mine cant !! , next time before you decide its stupid (T78) just ask a question !.
And if you read the post carefully , all I wanted was some info on installing an aftermarket tach!!

I highly doubt that you of all people has ever had a conversation a million times. You are far to pissed off to carry on a simple conversation. BTW, I wasnt giving "advice". I was hoping that you would get dismembered. If you dont want the same "ole talk" then DO NOT post because your probably going to get it no matter what. Think a little before you go rampaging at the rest of us.

For your information , I have had lots of conversations and gotten lots of USEFUL information on this very forum, but from people who actually have something helpful to say and who have the facts and who give CONSTRUCTIVE critism , not the others who just have to say something no matter what!.I am not TOO Pissed OFF , I am just a bit agrivated with that DUMB *** response I got from T78....., Get dismsmberd ??? , If you any of you had asked a question you would know that I have a skatter shield for protection and I ab quite sure that it wouldn't have to do its job!!.

It is possible and actually done daily by most na monster cars. (rotary) Na cars don't have as many limitations and with the proper modifications (extreme changes in engine internals, extreme porting and more) It will reach the disred high rpms.

remember rotaries have no up and down movement, its all around and around, a piston engine does a dead stop before coming back down on each rev, that definitely affects the revving speed.

Not to come across as Mr. Wisdom...but just a suggestion to avoid such entertaining threads in the future hehe (dunno why you'd want to...but nonetheless...)

If you wanna give your $0.02 that don't directly answer the question asked, usually the best way I've found is to answer the question, then follow it w/ your $0.02. That way the person doesn't get aggrevated that you dodged his question, and you've delivered your message as well.

My $0.02 (w/o the answer, since Flybye already showed you the link )
