Cleaning up my stock head light lenses
Hi,
Until I can afford to buy an upgrade for my lights, I have decided to clean up my stock head light and side light lenses. For the exterior I have used rubbing compound and then polish.
The head lights are definitely cleaner and smoother to the touch.
The side lights/turn lights were quite yellow when I bought the car. They are definitely better now after my first try.
What I want to do is get inside and clean them up. Is this possible or are they specially sealed? Or is it possible to remove the lenses and re real them?
Does anyone have any experience with this?
One thing I noticed is that the turn signal lights look like they can come out as the lenses are clipped in. I am worried that the plastic might be brittle and break the clips. Any ideas please?
Thanks

getting inside the turn signal is not very easy and on the headlight i would say damn near impossible but they are probably pretty clean inside.
for the turn signal unscrew the single screw most of the way and then pull on it to kind of rotate the light out because theres a clip on the inside corner. the sand down the lens with 600 grit paper until its nice and smooth, then buff it real good with 2000 grit. then use a buffing wheel with plastic polish and that will make it nice and clear.
