Clarion MP3 player?
Does anyone here have one of these (click here)? I'm thinking about buying it since the price is pretty good compared to other MP3 players.
Pros/Cons about this particular unit?

Hi,
I do use that one at the moment:
Has a fantastic tuner and the cd/mp3 section is fine as well. Only the display is a bit small.
Costs around 300 Euro.
But I'm not sure whether you can get it in the states.

No complaints. Got it for a little over $300 about 9 months ago. Before this I had the JVC SH99 and I like this better. The 2 line display is very nice for showing title-artist or an equalizer etc. ID3 tags are nice. Whatever you get, get MP3! It is definantly worth the extra $50 or so

That clarion has the aluminum face.
my JVC had that and I didnt like it. it was cool for about a week, but then it seemed cheezy. It draws in theives from a mile away with its glowing aluminum face. I like the subdued look of my kenwood better. plus, the bright silver face clashes with the FC or FD's interior

I'm looking for actual user impressions of the Clarion VRX95VD, but it seems like no one has even heard of it.
I have the Sony Xplod MP30 on my FC.. it sounds alright, but the construction quality is very very cheap.. you can tell they skimped on plastic, and the LCD display feels almost like a calculator.. but it was cheap, so its ok.
My previous FD had a Kenwood Z919, which I loved, too bad it didn't have a detachable face, otherwise I'd still use it, but its just sitting here in it's box.

The aluminum face isnt something I really like about it. I was looking for an mp3 player with a normal looking face. Seems that most mp3 players have these crazy looking face plates with a billion lights and buttons. The Clarion looked pretty nice and simple to me but the silver face plate isnt something Im too fond of. THe kenwood Rx-7 Tobi has looks nice to me. Its not too flashy and doesnt have a crapload of tiny buttons. Maybe I'll wait a little longer and get something else but spending more than $250 on a headunit is not something I would like to do since Im not a big audio freak.
