CDs wont play in bose player!

Hey I have a 93 FD touring, and my bose cd player wont read cds. The radio still works though. Last week sometime it was having trouble ejecting a cd (it would only eject about a centimeter). So i forced it out in fear that I would lose my CD (silly mistake), and I'm pretty sure ever since then it hasnt been able to read CDs. Did I mess up the laser (scratch it) or can I fix this with one of those CD cleaner CDs. THis is crucial,as I use this as a daily driver!!

try the lens cleaner, get the wet ones. clean about 5 times. if the cleaner doesn't work, the player is toasted. you can get a used one on the forum cheap.

Alright, I have had no time to mess with this, I'll pick up one of those CDs and see if it works.
Thanks

ARRgghh! Yeah you're right, I was pretty sure that the CD cleaner wouldn't work but I had to try. Hey djantlive, you know anyone on the forum who is selling these used bose cd players? and how much? cuz I can go for a cheap aftermarket cd player for $80 or so, although I'd like to keep the interior as stock as possible.

do a search, cd players come up pretty often. it should sell less than 100, probly around 70. bose system doesn't really work well w aftermarket head unit so a good stock cd player would be your best bet. dealer usually sells one for 200 new.
