Nothing to do with kicking it. The door when it closes rubs it....I agree with the above statement that if you are buying these, you should not be worried about scratches. They are a great piece.

Most mature people use carbon fiber to lighten up their cars. Such an example would be the stock hood of a 2nd gen Eclipse. Stock hood weighs a ton, C/F hood weighs about half of the stock hood. So it's not on their for looks as much as it's on there for weight reduction . Now in the case of the door sills I agree, they could use some tweaking, but I think they look nice for what they are. I think they look nice enough to the point where I want a set
