Capacitor

For an 89 gxl with 1000w amp, what kind of capacitor would i need to run, if any at all? Im not even sure if 1000w amp is considdered enough to need a cap, but ive heard people havin to replace alternators alot too, so i dunno...

Use a good 1 F cap.
Install it as close to the amp as possible to keep wiring short.
Your amp will play more controlled at high volumes and your battery will last longer.

I forgot:

1000 W really is enough to need a cap!
About 0,1 F per 100 watts RMS.
