Arrow blending new/old paint

Ok heres the deal my fc has a black bumper and fenders and a faded roof. the roof is faded down to primer (dunno how). Im on a tight budget so im using duplicolor to paint these areas. The bumper and fenders arent a problem because I can paint the whole panel. my issue arises when i plan the roof. I do not want to rattlecan the whole unibody but im afraid the colors might show a difference. is there a way for me to rattlecan the roof alone without it looking stupid? Im planning on putting fresh clear over the whole unibody once the paint is done, do you think this might help?

I might just leave the roof faded and only do the fenders and bumper. Just so im not riding around with a 2 tone car. I wont be able to afford paint or anything else for a long long time and am just doing this to gte by for now. Im sure itll turn out better than some 99cent walmart paintjob. Duplicolor is a good system and ive done panels with tit before and looks good. thanks anyway

SWAT81 where in nYc are you? if you dont mind me asking?

duplicolor is that a spay paint? There is no way to match that. Painters tint basecoat from the same color code to make it match. dont clear the whole thing with spry paint. It will not look good or hold up unless it is preped correctly and that still might not work. You are creating a ton of exta work for whoever has to paint this thing correctly in the future. I would recomend a earl sheib or macco 119 job before that.
