Bent Hood / Cracked Paint - HELP!
I am a long time reader but a first time poster. I am a big fan of the rx7 forums and you guys are great! I had a question and this was the only place I could think of to turn to.
One day, somebody must've backed into my car in the parking lot or something because I noticed there was a large dent in my hood! To make things worse, the paint is CRACKED and CHIPPING!!
I want to see what I can try to do fix it. I've read up on touch up methods and I have my touch-up paint, sandpaper and scratch X ready. But I can't figure out how to fix the dent. Some people have suggested using the Ding King, but would it be able to fix damage such as this? I've also considered wrapping the hood with a towel and taking pliers to *attempt* to bend it back into shape.
I've been told that since my hood is made of aluminum I wouldnt have to worry about rusting and that it would be easier to "bend" back.
Does anybody have any experience with this kind of minor body work?
P.S. I know, I need a car wash badly
Thanks!

Well, last time I checked, the ding king pulls dents not push it. But if you are going to try and do the plier gig, make sure you get a heat gun, to make you rpaint more elastic so that when do you bend it back, more paint won't chip off.
