Ok, before I say anything else let me just state that I would normally never attempt this.
Anywho, Has anyone ever baked FD taillights and not broken or melted anything?
The reason I am asking is because I bought an 92 jdm fd last spring and the car came with the 98+ round tail lights but the lenses are completely cracked. The person I purchased the car from also gave me a set of the stock taillights. So I'm hoping someone on here can give me a good walkthrough of how to cook the taillights so I can save the 98+ lights.
Thanks for your time and advice.

i used a high temperature heat gun to seperate the plastics when i was converting my 93 lights to the 99 specs. i was not comfortable with baking them. just keep the heat gun moving around. i did not used any adhesive or rtv to glue them back. they re seal pretty easily. it's been a few years with no fogging or water in the lights.

Ok, thanks. I'll probably try the heatgun on the 99 specs just to make sure nothing goes wrong and if I cook the lenses they are finished anyways so it won't be a loss.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
