Defi Link System
Thanks everyone for your post...I decided to go with a set of Defi Link System gauges...Nice features and not so many people question their accuracy...

Thanks for not directing your reply at me....just from reading the posts for the last 6 months it seems like there are a bunch of ticked off people on the forum that are ready to chew peoples' *** out for posting certain things...
As far as me choosing the DEFI gauges over the autometer has nothing to do with DEFI being a "name brand" gauge or anything like that...As always with everything I bought for my 7 I searched the forum like a ****...when I researched the DEFI vs. Autometer it seems like the DEFI gauges were thought to be more reliable than the Autometer gauges...really can't direct you to any of the posts that I read in my many searches but it seemed it was a 5 for Defi 2 for Autometer ratio when I searched...so with that info I went ahead and bought the Defis...So that's pretty much it...
How do you like your Autometer gauges, and how does it compare to your PFC or other computer?

Gordon scribbled:
Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything other than anecdotal info on the reliability of these gauges.
To scientifically check the accuracy of any gauge, one would have to have a lab standard measuring device to compare the gauge to. Long term test with exposure to heat, vibration and other variables need to be performed to measure the durability of the accuracy of the gauge. And then a sizable sample of the gauges have to be evaluated to arrive at any scientific conclusion.
So unless, Consumer Reports decide to do a test on aftermarket gauges, we will only have anecdotal info regarding the accuracy of any gauge.
i just hate seeing poor decisions made based on the kind of anecdotal info that's being used here (and elsewhere) on the forum about gauges.
