again i get a kick out of people saying dont buy anything from audiobahn. They have the best customer service and return polict Ive ever seen (ive returned 2 year old amps to get brand new model year amps) They have the 4th loudest car in the world, walked away with 1st and 2nd place at the USAC (united states autosound competition) in overall points, and 1st overall in the one sub one amp category and came in 3rd in the sq (sound quality) category. All of this in 5 years of being released to the public. I sell alpine, xtant, jl audio, boston acoustics, mb quart, and over 100 other brands but I love the audiobahn more. Ive been installing and selling for 10 years, have worked on drew bledsoes car and home, roger clemens bmw, ty laws, among many other installs. I personally have a vehicle that hit 152db with (2) audiobahns in an expedition. Their distortion ratio on the amplifiers are great, power output is real and true, and the clarity is great, people badtalk them because they dont match the components well and crand the 18 db bass boost on the amplifiers and then try to see how it sounds when that isnt how you tune an amplifier. Also if you get the 08q flame series and port them they are insane. I would take on any jl audio w7 or kicker solobaric with those things anyday. The 06q series are nice and sound great, even the 05q when put into the right enclosure is insane (thats what audiobahn personally uses in their competetion vehicles, there tech support is geat and they offer a sponsorship package of half off dealer cost if you but all audiobahn components for competition. They ran over 20 subs last year at the ces show off of one amp all day and night without any problems. So all in all I love them, if you have any questions on them call me at 781-826-1500

actually, Ive been doing this for 10 years, was a kenwood east coast product rep, was installa manager and mobile electronic specialist at tweeter, and have spent a good portion of time working on high end and competetion stereo systems, what audio knowledge do you have that gives you the right to be such a smartass? Im not saying I know everything but I know good quality, and I back it up with facts.

Not to trying to flame, this is 90% of what I do all day everyday, and I know the product not from what other people have said or from one used but from installing it everyday for the last 5 years. I appreciate other people opinions but I wasnt saying hey look at me im great, I was giving backround into the work I do so he could know my opinion had some substance. Everyone has their own opinion but I will put audiobahn up against anything in the buisness and either be at the same level or above if done right. If everything else is so good why is audiobahn doing so well so quick, and winning competitions accross the country?

I have a background in electronics. Specifically I got my electrical engineering degree. I have worked in audio shops. I once intervied with panasonic, but turned them down. I want to keep car audio as a hobby not as a career. I know that athletes are not usually audio people so I think that was a really week argument. If I had a $$ for every car audio sales guy I've had tell me he did so and so's system, I'd be rich! To be quite honest, most of the athlete crowd wants it to "hit" and look incrediable (either show stopper or factor integrated beyond belief).

well ive seen these audiobahn shouts of glory from audibleeffects and like most people i just keep my mouth shut.

but personally.....

it sounds to me like audibleeffects is the majority stock holder. even novice audio people will look at the statements audibleeffects writes and say he's smok'n crack.

it does my heart good to see someone so avid in their beliefs but sometimes those people are also called facist.

moral....

the wise man is always a student.

i've been involved with cars and car audio for over 25 yrs and i always listen to what someone has to say.

my personal opinion is audibahn is a mid-level line created by rip-off artist. they copied everything iin thier line from big name companies, had it made overseas, covered it in chrome, and charged a fair price for it.

but

they are not high end. the company does not want to structure themselves against high end companies.

also

audibleeffects good luck in the vicious world of car audio because in supporting lines that have no territorial restrictions (i.e. audiobahn) you are putting yourself out of a job.

finally about the Q series woofer
-very, very low efficientcy
-needs very small sealed box
-dual 6 because it takes 3 to equal 1 real sub ported
-best if used in hatchbacks ( raises efficientcy of system)
-don't sound bad but to many drawbacks to make them usefull
-they do look cool

finally... everbody thinks they have had the best pizza in the world untill they taste a better one. So just because someone thinks something is the best doesn't make it so.

no disrespect was intended to anyone just have an open mind.

Bravo to Roger Collins.

I have competed on and off in IASCA, USAC and DbDrags since 1992. I have been installing stereos since 1990. The one thing I have found is that the "BEST" is more of a fad than anything else.

Every shop will claim brand X is the shiznit today and just plain **** when they get a better deal on Y. People tend to believe what looks killer and sounds ok is better than what sounds killer and looks ok. Just because a sub can play a tone burst extremely loud doesn't mean it will play music worth a darn.

I personally have never heard the Audiobahns so I can't comment on how they will perform. All I can say is that instalation is the most important piece of the aftermarket stereo system puzzle. I have seen $10,000.00 from a certian retail chain (they claim to be the #1 car audio retailer in the country) get put to shame by $300.00 flea market systems.

As I have said before, when searching for a stereo system "search for the best shop as apposed to the best speaker".

If you want my credentials I have competed in shows in New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. I have always trophied. Competed in the IASCA World finals twice. Many of my installs have competed in world finals for IASCA, USAC and DbDrags.

maybe theres a reason why audiobahn has to have such a good return policy?

just throwing that out there...ive only seen some of the audiobahn stuff and it looks like they put alot of time into making it look all ricey and stuff...ive never seen there serious comp stuff..but from what ive seen of audiobahn it reminds me of a 4 door honda with a nascar wing and a 14 inch exhaust muffler...you know what im saying?

just my first impressions on a product that has taken a mrketting appraoch that looks very ricey..and rice is all show and no go right?

lol, I forgot that everyone is such an expert and that if I put my opinion out there people all need to try and bash it, I think its funny. All I have to say is that I would put it up against almost anything on the market and compete well, I dont think its the best thing out there on the market but I dont think the company would have mopped up at usac if it was crap, I put out valid points and back them up, everyone else just flames. I like to hear peoples opinions I always have and I enjoy going back and forth, but people seem to forgot that they dont know everything. I know there are still things I need to learn but because I back a product and can back it up and am willing to back it up I dont deserve the backlash of people who think Im smokin crap. sorry that I cant agree with everyone, lol....

oh, and by the way audiobahn does have territorial restrictions. I have been in buisness for a while on my own and cant complain about buisness, I dont put everyone into audiobahn, as I said I sell just about everything and like many other brands, I have heard nicer stuff but for the money and with the proper install (as stated above) anything can be made to sound good. Everyone has there own personal opinions and bravo to that, I gave mine and backed it with some facts, and I get flamed.

I respect all the audio lines that are in production, mb quart, boston acoustics, ads, jl audio, and alpine I would definetely buy myself and I carry them all. I appreciate schexy1 opinions, and I agree that its all about the install. I was just trying to answer the question that this post was all about with my opinion. I was saying that they are the greatest product in the world, and then I got a smart comment which I dont think I deserved, and I let it get the better of me in my comments, so if I offended anyone I apologize but I still stand by my opinions, as I know all of you stand by yours. Im not going to comment anymore on audio on here because people react way to quick about a product half of you have admitted to never hearing or seen installed properly. If you build a crappy enclosure for jl audio it will sound bad too. Just my .02 cents. Ill just stick to my buisness and looking on here when I need something on occasion, but I guess now I see the bad side of the forum.

search the web and form your own opinion, you saw what happened with this post, everyone has their own opinions, so check it out yourself and you should be able to make a decision because ultimately it is up to you.

now your getting it.
when advising a member on something, especially ones who are not experienced, it is usually better to direct them to a local professional.
and inform then to do some background research on both the store and the product they are pushing.

sorry if we are sounding harsh in our post audibleeffects it is just that your normal statements are so one sided, but that last one was great.

back to the business sense. 99% of all car audio lines names compose a brafel of companies. they are ruining the market and driving profit margins down and down. such the laws of economics. (everyone wants your cookies)

whats that mean! well the store across the street from you ( or wherever) can call your local distributor ( or any distributor) and order audiobahn.

now its time to represent.

sound quality-------expert world champ (usac and iasca) gary biggs (kicker)

spl-----------------extreme world champ (usac) korey himel (kicker)

why? hmmm. its marketing kicker makes sure they win both sq and spl so they can advertise the fact to the public as the being the best.

so world titles for the most part are paid for.

its amazing how you can go on and on about nothing isnt it.

yeah audibleeffects..i dont know if you were directing your posts at my comments. but i meant no disrespect to you by my post(i actually didnt even think of your input when posting it) i was just giving my impression, and none of it was directed towards you, or your knowledge of a product that you have used, and i have not. just wanted to clear that air if there were any misunderstood words.

hell 10 years ago i used to pound pyramid 12s in a 7th order enclosure with a clarion 50 watter pushing em and its probly cuz it was in my 1st gen rx hatch, but it used to put many very expensive installs to shame with well over 300 watts on theirs..with only about 200 bucks invested in mine i was not ashamed to compare with them!! now sound quality overall? that was a totally different story.hehe...it just out bassed em thats all.

i was later showing myself up with jl 8w6s that i thought could never keep up with any 12 no matter how crappy the brand....boy did i learn alot then!!

I think he was more pissed off at me. I was only hating the fact that he brought up athletes' stereo systems as a resume builder.

Hey man you also forgot that audiobahn overcharges there car audio by at least 3x, for the price of 2 audiobahn subs, you can get 4 if not more and get better performance then you will with 2 drivers. I dunno im just not a big audiobahn when i see price tags like 500 per sub
