anyone have pictures of aftermarket seats in their 3rd gen?

Has anyone successfully fit an aftermarket seat in their 3rd gen? I have a recaro spg pole position, but it sits kinda high, i'm thinking about taking out the slider to make it lower, but that would mean drilling holes into my frame. Anyone know where I can get aftermarket sliders and brackets that would lower my ride height?

There are some pics in this thread of "Interior Conversion" in the 3rd Gen. Forum. I took these pics of Nijacks car at Import Revolution in Houston

streetpower - is that your car? if so, those are Sparco Roadsters, right? Are there any fitment problems? does the outside shoulder rub the door at all? Does the inside bottom bolster rub the (for lack of a better term) drive shaft tunnel?

streetpower, will the sparco seat rails fit with a recaro seat? Also, did it lower the ride height of the car? What types of brackets are you using?

I don't know if the sparco seat rails will fit the recaro's.......measure the distance on the mounting holes on the recaro and then i could verify...as far as lower the ride height of the car...i am asuuming you mean the seat height..if so... yes the sitting postion is lower...i am using the regular sparco sliding rail brackets...it bolts to the seat and then you can fab any mounting bracket to mount to the seat rails....

LOWER YOUR RECARO's

1FOOKIN -
I tried to get my recaro seat lower as well the only thing I found that works is this bracket made by a Japanese Company called Nielex. The bracket is called the Intruder ( http://www.nielex.jp/page/intruder.html ) and is a beautiful machined aluminum piece. The only drawback is that you loose your back and fourth movement but, you will be AMAZED at how much better the seat will feel in the car. I got my bracket from www.metromotorsports.com , e-mail them and Talk to Lenny he is the guy that hooked me up. He is like the official Nielex distributor in the US. They are expensive but, the only way to go for that seat in my opnion. You could also try toysport. www.toysport.com (I think). If I am not mistaken they make a bracket kit that allows recaro sliders to be bolted to the floor pan of the FD but, you have to use the RECARO side aluminum think that comes with the seat. It is a custom order item that they manufacture. Good Luck!
