Do you have any pics of your leather covered dash and doors? Would love to see them, especially the seams and stiching.

Here are a few that were taken after Gordon sold it. The second owner sold it to a forum member who promptly turned it into a high school rice mobile. RIP.

Black is a better color anyway

The best leather door panels I have seen to date were on Wael's car. Sadly he sold that car to a forum member who used it as a track car, removed the leather from the doors, and then ultimate stripped it. RIP II.

^I really like the door panels. I think I'm on to something here with the leather dash and panels. How about the center console? Has anyone wrapped this in leather?

The door panels ran about $750 from what I recall. They were done by a shop in Texas. A few people have wrapped the center console, including Gmonsen. I think it is a great idea. My plan is to eliminate anything covered in shiny vinyl.

Would ya happen to know the name/contact info of the shop by any chance?

Ramy, Wael gave me the contact info years ago; it's a tiny one man operation about 5-6 miles from me. I'll have to dig through my PMs to see if I still have it. I remember the area, but can't remember the exact location; it was a 'hole in the wall', buried in a business park. Give me a bit, and I'll Pm you the info if I have it.

Wow, the PMs were literally the last I have saved. Ramy, clear your PMs.

N/M, might as well share with others:

Center console

David Hayes: Im currently making the center console covers and offering them for sale, I had my car and vendor booth at seven stock and will include some pictures for yuoo to see. My car actually has Black Suede with Double Red french seams on the shift boot, e-brake and center console and its all work that i do myself, the carbon with yellow console and shift boot were a display item to show what extremes people can go with if they like.

Gmonsen: I will be doing the door panels and the dashboard this winter in a black suede to match my center console and will be matching the double stitching in the same red contrast thread as you see below. So hope fully that will give you guys a good idea of what is possible on the stitching combinations fro the doors and dash

Ken

Very nice work Komodo1982, if I was going to keep the stock interior, I would have definitely been on the list.

I saw Ken's car in person at 7stock and I got to say that the center panel was very nicely done. It looked OEM quality and fit very well (if not perfectly).

The shift boots looked great also.

Ok- After reading about this I had to resurrect this thread. I'd like to know how well the material has held up so far. Especially the strips that were set inthe sun. Also, how do you clean the material? My car gets dusty inside every now and then, so cleaning and what not is important...

I can't find the pieces I set out last fall, I'll try nailing some down tonight. The appearance otherwise has not changed. I clean it with a vacuum cleaner upholstery attachment.
