Alarm wire diagram
I need a wire diagram for a 87 turboII. Does anyone know where to find one. The alarm im intalling is a SIDEWINDER 6500 the remote start unit. This is going on a 5 speed. I have an idea on how im going to intall the remote start but if you have any ideas that would be great.(JUST IF YOU DIDNT KNOW, YOUR NOT SUPOST TO PUT REMOTE START ON A STICK). So I would have to disable the clutch sencer and have the remote start disabled if I left the car Gear. Those are the two problems.

You will need to use the neutral safety wire (small gauge black/white on the 6500) hooked up to the nuetral safety on the car (small gauge green/black found at the ECU or the harness coming in from the engine compartment on the drivers side) to test the wire, there will be ground on it when the shifter is in neutral.
Do not install the remote start with out it. That connection will prevent your car from starting in gear.
You should also not disable the clutch sensor. you should hook the remote starts large purple (starter) wire to the factory crank wire (large gauge Black/green) after the clutch switch. It can be found right above the clutch switch. You do not want to hook it up to the Black/red starter wire from the key switch.
The tach wire will be Yellow/blue, the best place to find it is at the power steering computer or back of the gauge cluster. The 6500 will learn it just fine once programmed.
BTW: it is illegal in most states to install that system on a manual tranny car. In some states they will tow the car and arrest the owner if the car is operating without the owner in or within 10 feet of the car. In addition you will void the warrenty on the 6500 by installing it on a manual tranny car.
